RentalOps Lite is a downloadable offline browser application for small party and event rental businesses. It connects inventory, booking dates, requested quantities, pricing, deposits, balances, and direct job-cost estimates in one practical workspace.

EARLY ACCESS — FIRST 12 BUYERS

The first 12 buyers across all Practical Kit Lab Co. sales channels receive RentalOps Lite v1.0 for $19 USD and qualify for the next RentalOps Full Edition upgrade at no additional charge when released. No release date is promised. Early buyers may send feedback, but custom setup, data entry, consulting, and feature development are not included.

WHAT THE APP DOES

• Tracks inventory name, category, total quantity, unavailable quantity, usable quantity, condition, customer rate, and replacement value
• Stores customers, events, rental start and end dates, status, deposits, rental items, and quantities
• Checks overlapping inclusive date ranges and aggregates requested quantities
• Warns when requested quantity plus already-booked quantity exceeds usable inventory
• Adds custom or non-inventory requested items to a quote without treating them as owned inventory
• Calculates rental subtotal, delivery, setup, tax, customer total, deposit, and remaining balance
• Estimates direct job cost from mileage, crew/setup time, cleaning or repair, and other entered costs
• Shows what remains after entered direct job costs, direct-cost margin, and replacement-value exposure
• Exports a complete restorable JSON backup and a readable bookings CSV

HOW TO USE IT

1. Download and fully extract the ZIP file.
2. Keep the three app files together in the same folder.
3. Double-click RentalOps_Lite.html and open it in a current desktop browser.
4. Explore the sample business and read the included guide.
5. Replace the sample data with your own inventory and bookings.
6. Export complete JSON backups regularly.

COMPATIBILITY

• Current desktop versions of Chrome, Edge, Safari, or Firefox
• Windows, macOS, or Linux
• No Excel, Google Sheets, account, installation wizard, or monthly subscription required
• Internet is not required after the files are downloaded

This is not a native iPhone, iPad, Android, or app-store application. Mobile file handling varies and mobile use is not supported as the primary workflow.

IMPORTANT DATA NOTE

Working data is stored in the browser profile on the device where you use the app. Clearing browser data, switching browser profiles, using private browsing, or changing devices can remove access to that local copy. Export Complete JSON Backups regularly and store them somewhere safe. A CSV export is a readable booking ledger, not a full restorable backup.

RESPONSIBILITY AND LIMITS

RentalOps Lite is an operational decision-support tool. It cannot guarantee availability or calculation accuracy when records, dates, quantities, rates, costs, or settings are incomplete or incorrect. Buyers remain responsible for independently reviewing bookings, availability, pricing, taxes, balances, customer agreements, equipment condition, setup requirements, and safety obligations.

DIGITAL PRODUCT AND LICENSE

This is a digital download; no physical item will be mailed. One purchase licenses the app and guide to one buyer or one business for internal use. Working copies and backups are allowed. Resale, redistribution, sharing, sublicensing, publishing, or repackaging is prohibited.
